Keller Williams Silicon Valley

Experience: 2 years Specializations: I love working with both buyers and sellers. First Time Home Buyer Specialist. NAR's Green Designation Areas Served: Silicon Valley, including Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Saratoga, San Jose, Santa Clara, Los Altos, Cupertino Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: My background includes customer service and education, and helping people buy and sell properties is a great fit. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A:   I had a stair railing break off into a visitor's hand when I hosted an open house for another agent. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A:  My favorite experience in real estate was helping a family that I knew from my previous career in education buy their first home in this area. I know how challenging homeownership in our area can be, and to help them make the transition from renters to owners,  in a home they fell in love with, makes it all worthwhile. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A:    I wish I had known a great lender. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A:   I think the biggest change is the way we show properties to clients and can no longer host the traditional open houses due to the coronavirus pandemic. Open houses would bring neighbors by to see the inside of the houses and we could use the time to lead generate. That time has been taken away from us and we're now finding new ways to meet people. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A:  Without a doubt, the hardest part for me is cold-calling and door-knocking! I am not a fan of receiving a phone call or a knock on my door from a stranger. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A:  It's a roller coaster ride.
