Experience: 13 years Specializations: residential resale, short-sales, buyer’s specialist Areas Served: Bakersfield and Shafter Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I have always loved looking at homes and working with people. Helping people find their dream home; and helping sellers get the highest prices for their property (especially when they come to me and tell me: "I need to sell my house!") are truly important to me. I really love my job. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: I've never had anything happen at an open house that would be considered out of the ordinary - at least nothing that comes to mind. Maybe just that time when a seller was very hard on me and told me: "Sell my house!" and I simply did. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Getting my Broker’s license and opening my own Real Estate company. It allows me to better serve my clients in so many ways. I can better market my listings - superior marketing and maximum exposure is always what’s best for my sellers! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I should have majored in Psychology! This would probably have helped when building a list of steps to selling a house. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, but many times I am helping clients get through difficult and/or transitional moments in their lives: new job relocation, death of a loved one, etc. Sometimes, I am their counselor and Realtor. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: It is a 24/7 job. I am always on call and available to my valued clients. I am used to it now - but I think it takes a certain personality type to be comfortable with that schedule. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Work hard, treat people right!
