Experience: 4 years Specializations: First time home buyers, and sellers that are downsizing. Areas Served: Mid Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I have a strong background in construction and contracts that made Real Estate a perfect blend for me. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: Just recently a family came through one of my open houses and the daughters were checking out the ceiling heights in the rooms. The two young ladies were very tall, and they explained due to their height they needed high ceilings so their violin bow wouldn't hit the ceiling when they practice. Hitting the end of the bow would cost them $2,000 to repair. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Every settlement is a proud moment - seeing the look of pride in the new owner’s face is always captured in my mind. My professional achievement of being the "Rookie Realtor of the Year for Carroll County, MD" still makes me smile. I'm probably one of the oldest Rookies they have had! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: How hard it is. The Real Estate Course you take to get licensed doesn't even begin to cover all that you need to know. It is definitely a challenging career! Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: The changes are coming faster and faster; you need good technology to keep up. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Technology touches all parts of our job, from marketing, to how we do a contract, to how Title companies are going to do settlements digitally in the future. We are always learning. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Love helping my clients!
