Experience: 4 years Areas Served: Billings, Laurel, Shepherd, Huntley, and Red Lodge. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: In 2011, my husband and I purchased a vacation home in the Dominican Republic. During this process, we were chosen to film an episode of House Hunters International. That was the first time I started thinking about becoming a real estate agent. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: At one of my open houses I was reunited with a friend from high school that I hadn’t seen in 25 years. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I was contacted through the internet by an active duty military family in Italy. They were looking for a home for their oldest of 5 children, who was returning to Billings for college. I helped them find the perfect house and they bought it sight unseen. We didn’t meet for the first time until several weeks after their son had moved into the house. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I wish I had known how many miles I would put on my car for work. I would have purchased a car that got better gas mileage! Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: The biggest changes in real estate I have experienced is how difficult it has become to qualify for a mortgage. Buyers face numerous challenges that didn’t exist 5 years ago. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: The hardest part of my job is explaining to buyers that internet assessments of their homes’ value are not based on facts. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: I LOVE MY JOB!
