Experience: 22 years Specializations: Listings, listings, listings.....and have a highly specialized team to help with buyers and admin! Areas Served: The greater Kansas City Area with emphasis on Johnson, Jackson, and Wyandotte Counties. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: After hiring and relocating over 200 employees for Hallmark Cards, Inc in the early 1990's, and having relocated 5 times as an adult with "Corporate America,” I became intimately aware of the challenges we face as individuals and families moving from home to home and market to market. I knew I could succeed in helping people with distinctly different methods over those offered by traditional agents and agencies. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: Running into childhood friends and discovering their stories! Super rewarding! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Helping seniors transition from homes they’d been in often times 30+ years into assisted and independent living. Becoming intimately familiar with family needs in regards to helping Mom and or Dad make this transition. We hold a lot of hands, help families and each of these wonderful people prepare, move out, sell and settle! We are with them in person every step of the way. They become our friends/family and it is our privilege to help with this often times difficult move. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: How important a good mentor is and how invaluable excellent/real training is to the success of your business. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: You know… the basics will never change. Be good to people, add value to their needs/goals, be present and in front of them in non-pestering ways and always act with integrity and professionalism. Technology has and will continue to make this industry better. Empowering us as buyers and sellers to have knowledge like never before. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Real estate is fun! Even now in my 22nd year, I love real estate and helping others accomplish their goals. The most challenging part of my job is allowing my enthusiasm for real estate to fill my schedule too much! Maintaining balance in all aspects of your life while in real estate can be a challenge. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Finding Client's LIFESTYLES and Homes!
