Experience: 8 years in October Specializations: Residential real estate. I love marketing listings and giving keys to buyers. Areas Served: Oakland to Napa to Sacramento. Solano County is my main territory. Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I had a bad experience selling and buying a home. I ended up negotiating with the buyer's agent on our home. She recruited me when the transaction was done. She and I still work together all these years later. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: I held open one of my listings in Sacramento about 5 or 6 years ago and had over 40 people through in a few hours. It was a really small house and I had to stand on a chair in the dining area to greet everyone and answer questions. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: I always half-jokingly tell my clients when we've closed on their new home, they have to ease me out of our daily text/talk/email relationship before they "break up with me" at closing. My kids and I became very close to one young couple buying their first home, and at the end of the transaction we all cried and laughed that we were crying. We're still friends and chat regularly 3 years later. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: Real estate is constantly changing and each transaction is different. There's not really one thing I wish I’d known; I love that I get to learn something new everyday and apply a new skill. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: Technology! It's amazing what we can do now and the resources we have available for our clients. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Staying neutral. I'm a very passionate advocate for my clients.
