Experience: 11 years Specializations: Relocation, buying, selling, investing Areas Served: Greater Tampa Bay area Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: We moved to Tampa Bay in 2005; the real estate market was booming throughout the country but Tampa Bay area being a destination area was especially busy. This was a good fit with my background in the mortgage industry, management & sales. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: Most open houses are pretty calm, but we have the opportunity to meet the nicest people who are looking for their new dream homes. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Succeeding in our profession by helping clients. We are ranked in the top 10% of over 2000 agents in our company regularly. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: Requirements! I absolutely love what I do, but I’ve realized there is a lot of work, a lot of time, a lot of negotiating skills & a lot of problem solving skills required. It's not like on TV! Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: I worked through the high priced 'frenzy' time in mid 2000's, then through the recession period for next 5-6 years. No one had ever heard of a Short Sale. I’ve also seen our world and of course our profession change with technology. Just 10+ years ago, we met clients to review and sign documents, or sometimes faxed documents. Now we have so much technology available, such as electronic signing which is recognized as a legal method of signing contracts. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Time. We want to give each client the best service and experience but sometimes we'll run into conflicts where several clients are available during the same time period. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Love clients and making sales happen!
