Experience: 8 years Specializations: Sellers, first-time home buyers, relocation, veterans, move-up buyers, luxury homes Areas Served: The metro Denver area Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I like helping people through the largest transaction in their lives, which can be very stressful for them. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: Not being able to leave because people kept coming. That’s a good thing! It was a very popular listing. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Helping a client get out of a difficult situation by selling their home after other agents had failed. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: The satisfaction you get when you help clients to successfully purchase their dream home. A referral from a past client is the best reward I get! Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: When I started, it was during the downturn and there were lots of foreclosures and short sales. It was a great time to buy for investors and I helped several to purchase multiple properties. Now the market is the exact opposite with almost no foreclosures or short sales in our market. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Dealing with difficult agents on the other side of a transaction. For example, I still run into agents who are doing all paper contracts instead of electronic. This can really slow things down. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Work hard, success will follow.
