A: Having taught many real estate related subjects as an adjunct instructor of law at Western State University School of Law, I was fascinated with the flexibility of helping people as buyers and sellers of real estate. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: I attended a broker preview in which the owner was in her lingerie. I told her that I wouldn't take long. She said to take all the time I needed. The bed wasn't made , and the house wasn't ready for the public. I chatted with her while she was preparing a meal. I then learned that I was in the wrong house! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: My most inspiring moments were during the recession. I represented homeowners as a real estate broker while also utilizing my background as an attorney. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: When I first got my license, I wish I had prepared myself for the rapid procedural changes that have a negative effect on trust and liability. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: My most challenging experiences deal with technology. I have a conflict with the robotic style of doing business wherein the human element seems to waning. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Can be simple or complex. Enjoy it.
