Experience: 40 years of sales and marketing experience Specializations: Residential resale, new construction, and home sites Areas Served: Myrtle Beach Grand Strand area Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: Due to my career advancement, I have had the opportunity to live in several places in the northeast, mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Europe. I have moved 6 times and built and sold 4 homes. Since deciding to retire this year, I thought that Real Estate would be a natural transition where I could apply my marketing and sales skillset in a challenging and dynamic market. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: After hearing from my colleagues in the agency that it would take a year before I would see any results in my efforts, I surprised everyone when I sold 2 properties in my first month. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I wish that I had known how difficult it would be to qualify the leads that were being funneled to me. This is probably the most frustrating part of my career. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: The marketing tools of the past are not very effective in this digital age. You have to work smarter. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Qualifying leads. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Dynamic, Challenging, Dedicated, Honest, Sensitive and service minded.
