A: I became interested in real estate after having a poor experience when selling my home and thought, “I can do this better; after all I’m a people person.” Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: During an open house I hosted, the most interesting thing that happened was that first staple moment I had where the person that walked in first was the person that bought that house. “That was easy.” Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Thus far my favorite moment was helping an older woman get her down payment back from a loan she really couldn’t offer in the first place. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: This one is hard for having my license for so long, I really have to think, but I would say that I wish I’d known how hard it can be to read people. I have been able to develop this skill throughout my career. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: Real estate has gone from a male dominated industry to mostly women. I do miss not having to fill out so much paperwork, and learning all the new technology that has come about has kept me on my toes. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Keeping up with the latest technology and getting clients to commit to the buying process. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: My five words would be: Flexibility, Communication, Honesty, Education, Integrity.
