Q: What made you become interested in real estate?

A: I've always worked in sales, marketing and customer service. Two of my girlfriends have been in real estate for more than 15 years and both kept telling me that I would be amazing at helping clients and would be able to build a rewarding business. I jumped in and was hooked!

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A:   After I coached the owners why they shouldn't be at their open house, the morning of the open house, they refused to leave the home. They locked themselves in the master suite which prevented me from showing upstairs to two very interested clients. I finally had to knock on the door and explain to them that in order to have a successful open house, I needed access to all of the home.

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: My favorite moment was securing my first listing and my first closing! It was an amazing experience. Also, hearing from my clients that I'm like family to them.

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A:  That you don't have to know everything, but read, research and have a mentor available to you always.

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A:   Although I'm fairly new, I've noticed that consumers want to reduce your commission and are very knowledgeable. I love working with knowledgeable clients which makes my job easier and it creates partnership.

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A: The most challenging aspect of my job thus far is when a home isn't selling and you have to have a serious conversation with my clients about price reduction. It's not challenging, but it's a reality in our business.

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Rewarding, challenging, exciting, commitment and dedication.
