Experience: 12 years Specializations: First time home buyers, Rehabs, Short Sales Areas Served: Contra Costa and Alameda counties, and the Greater Bay Area Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: I bought my first house at age 24, which led me to understood the importance of homeownership. I wanted to help others to achieve the American Dream. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: I once hosted an open house with more than 100 guests visiting, with guests waiting in line 15 minutes prior to open house hours. I ran out of flyers in the first 30 minutes and had to deal with a broken water hose from the neighbor’s garden with water spraying over to our deck! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: Once helped a homeowner avoid foreclosure by successfully closing a short sale deal on the last day of the short sale approval period because I happened to pick up a 800 number call from the lender who wanted to fax me the approved HUD sheet instead of emailing. Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: I got in this business full time in 2007 when the market crashed and only had 3 closings the first year – I thought the real estate business would be easy like everyone had said the year before. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: It’s more tech-oriented now, but it still it is a relationship business. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: I wish I could clone myself so I could help even more people become homeowners! Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Trusted, experienced, personable, attentive, result-driven.
