Experience: 5 years Specializations: Knowing the micro-neighborhoods of San Francisco Areas Served: San Francisco Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: Real estate piqued my interest as a young twenty-year-old in my home town on the Central Coast of California. I had read a series of boom literature books and confidently went after my first investment property. I haven’t looked back since. Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: For me, the relationships I build with my clients is of utmost importance. One client has referred me to each of their friends who have begun the process of either buying or selling their home in San Francisco, including their parents, which to me was the highest compliment I could ever receive. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: One of the more interesting shifts in the San Francisco market is seeing the diverge between online brokerages and luxury brokerages. Agents from the later offer an experience in the home selling process, rather than feeling like a transaction process. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Artificial Intelligence has been an ever increasing topic of conversation in the real estate industry. I think it is important for agents and clients to have open conversations about how and when A.I. is useful and when it is not. A.I. appears to be most useful in the gathering and dissemination of broad knowledge, but much less useful for acute information and calculation. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Savvy. Scrappy. Strategic. Committed. Courageous.
