Alex Dyer New Vision Realty Group

Experience: 9 years Specializations: Buyers and sellers Areas Served: South Placer county is my home which allows me to serve the grater Sacramento Metro region.   Q: What made you become interested in real estate? A: The mortgage meltdown of the late 2000’s devastated the mortgage loan industry and led me to real estate. With my 14 years experience as a mortgage loan officer, becoming a realtor was a natural progression. Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted? A: You never know who is going to walk through the door at an open house or what the outcome will be. On one spring morning at a new listing open house I had a half dozen neighbors walk through the door and met for the first time. The group of them ended up staying for well over an hour chatting and sharing neighborhood stories. I witnessed them become neighbors! Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far? A: It is very rewarding to help homeowners realize their goals. Contacting clients to let them know “escrow has closed” is one of the most rewarding moments! Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license? A: It’s the question you don’t know to ask. It seems like I learn something new with every transaction. Real estate has taught me to always ask questions. Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started? A: Technology has had the greatest impact on our industry. It has created efficiencies I could not have imagined possible when I started. New listings are instantly sent to home buyers as soon as they are posted and the listing get exposed to multiple levels of marketing across multiple platforms. Communication through technology has created transparency in the escrow process which has allowed the realtor to represent the client better. Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job? A: Balance. As a realtor you are never done. There is always that “next thing to do.” Finding a balance between family and work can be challenging. Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say? A: Being a great facilitator.
