Q: What made you interested in Real Estate?

A: Building my first house at age 23. I then went to work for the builder (Ryan Homes / NVR), then was recruited to sell in the # 1 selling community in NC, Highland Creek with Ryland Homes, then was the VP of Sales and Marketing for Robert Ingraham Homes, before starting my own firm in 1998. I am also an Unlimited Building General Contractor

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A: Sold the home that was the Open House and homes to two other couples that I met at that Open House a couple of months later!

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: Helping people achieve the dream of Home Ownership and showing them how to create wealth through real estate

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A: That it takes MANY years to really KNOW the inside and out's of "real estate." You can't work in this business part-time and become proficient. Now, after being in the business for almost 31 years, there's generally not a situation that I come across that is new to me or that I have not successfully worked through.

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A: We have more Realtors and Agents with less experience and with little training and supervision. Many times, I have to step into the other Agent's shoes to correct a problem and to get both sets of clients through to a successful, smooth closing.

Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A: Lack of affordable inventory for our home buyers

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Experience and Knowledge is power!
