Q: What made you become interested in real estate?
A: I grew up watching my Dad, a contractor, build dream homes. In time, I began to recognize the intrinsic value of owning property and wanted to help others achieve their dreams of independence and homeownership.
Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?
A: Once during an open house that I was hosting, a middle-aged man walked by, stopped and then began to deliberately pop the attention-grabbing balloons that were decorating my open house sign in the front yard. As I approached to ask him what he was doing, he scurried off without a word--strange!
Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?
A: My favorite moment so far in my career was collaborating with multiple organizations to make a single mother’s Christmas miracle come true. We were able to expedite the closing of her house, enabling me to hand off the house keys in time for her to settle in and celebrate the holidays with her young family!
Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?
A: I wish I had started my dream job in real estate sooner!
Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?
A: The real estate industry has changed since I started as the price of homes has increased, combined with historically low interest rates in a market that has significantly reduced inventory available. These factors have created an unprecedented seller’s market where home buyers need to move quickly in order to secure a new home!
Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A: The most challenging part of my job is saying goodbye to clients as I miss the frequent interaction with them as the search for their forever home comes to an end at the closing.
Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?
A: I would sum up being a real estate agent in these words: challenging, rewarding, relational, creative and exciting!
