A: Helping others and meeting new people.
A: At my very first open house, I took the key out of the lockbox to unlock the door and it fell between the deck boards and I couldn't get to it.
A: There's not just one moment that stands out to me, but I will say that helping first-time buyers - and getting to tell them their offer has been accepted, and handing them their keys at closing...seeing how grateful and emotional they are, and getting to be a part of that, is probably my favorite!
A: It's a lot harder than it looks and there's so much to learn that you're not taught when taking the licensing class.
A: When I started in '06, it was a pretty balanced market - and then the recession happened. The past few years were a crazy, fast-moving, seller's market...and now we're seeing a slowdown. I feel like I've been through all of the highs and lows!
A: Emotions. When you're working with human beings in one of the biggest purchases/decisions they'll make in their lives, there's a lot of emotion that goes into that. Setting expectations upfront and communicating is definitely key to helping people understand the process so that they don't get overwhelmed.
A: Hard work, but so rewarding!
