Q: What made you interested in Real Estate?

A: I became a real estate agent because I wanted to start my own business, have more control over my schedule, and secure a future that includes flexibility for my family. Both of my parents are entrepreneurs, and growing up with them I saw first-hand both the hard work and reward that comes with running your own business. I also saw that you could create a comfortable and beautiful life with commitment and dedication. I wanted, and still want, this type of life for my family. Diving into this beautiful career has been one of the best decisions of my life!

Q: What is the most interesting thing that happened during an open house you hosted?

A: I one time had a child (probably around 10 years old) draw me a diagram of how a human cell works. She was super impressive, and it gave the parents a better opportunity to take a close look at the house.

Q: What was your favorite moment in your career so far?

A: My favorite memory so far was when I helped a mother and her daughter (around 7 years old at the time) find a home. The daughter cried tears of joy on the settlement day. She was so excited to have her own bedroom and bathroom! This career can be so heart-warming!

Q: What do you wish you had known when you first got your real estate license?

A: There are going to be tough and frustrating times. Real estate is really continuous problem-solving and you have to be patient!

Q: In what ways have you seen the real estate industry change since you started?

A: The pandemic was really an interesting time in real estate because the supply from sellers was so much lower than the demand from buyers. During that time, you really had to fine-tune your ability to strategize with buyer clients on how to make an offer competitive and to be detail oriented with sellers to help them select the best offer. Now, with higher rates and continued low inventory, these skills remain invaluable.

Q: What's the most challenging part of your job?

A:  My biggest challenge thus far has really been figuring out how to best use my time. My husband and I recently had a beautiful baby girl, and figuring out how to be both a great parent and a great Realtor has its challenges. I found that by assigning specific time to get my work done while she is being taken care of, I can be both an excellent mom and agent. I am more efficient with my time than I used to be and have also learned to prioritize my family life better than I ever have before. While I will still work hard to give my clients the very best service, I also prioritize protecting precious family time.

Q: If you could sum up being a real estate agent in five words or less, what would you say?

A: Making home a reality.
